  • Elementary School: UNITY JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

    Neighborhood: CICERO

    “Currently my dream college is UMD to take their engineering courses. Holy Trinity offers many things not just classes but it also being a catholic school helps me not only work on my education but on my spirituality and my relationship towards god. Religion is important to me because it helps you build a relationship with someone who will never let us down. Holy Trinity is many things which is amazing because it emphasizes on students ' passions and what they want to do with their education after leaving high school.”

    Neighborhood: Near West Side

    “I love to receive this scholarship because I am an aspiring realtor. I have always been interested in pursuing this career because I love helping others, specifically with finding homes. I have always felt a tinge of sadness whenever I saw someone on the streets with no place to go, so I want to become a realtor so that I can see the joy on a customer’s face after they buy their dream home. This award would bring me one step closer to achieving my goals..”

    “What I dream of achieving after high school is to continue my education. At the moment I am not sure what I would like to study, but I do know I want to continue my education to obtain a good job and provide for myself and support my family. I would also like to play college baseball during my college years.”

    “My heart is set on helping others. I know what it is to struggle. I would love to help people as much as I can. Even though there is so much evil in the world you can find good. Even better, everyone has the ability to help make it better. They just have to choose to make it better. Like how I am. I know that with the right guidance I can help make the world better than it was before.”

    “The program PEAK will help me be closer to my goals I have in life like being accepted into a good college, having good grades, and in the future becoming an orthodontist.”

  • Elementary School: St. Malachy

    Neighborhood: Near West Side

    “Growing up in Chicago, I often hear about inhuman crimes and people in need. I know that any career I pursue in the future will focus on helping others due to the influence of my mom and from my catholic school experience. Receiving the PEAK scholarship will help me pursue my life’s purpose of serving others through career paths like nursing and having a quality high school education which will help me accomplish my goals and position me to attend college.”

    Neighborhood: North Austin

    “My goal is to work in a laboratory. I think it would be so cool to conduct experiments and invent new things. I also think wearing a lab jacket is pretty cool too. Becoming a Chemist would make my family so proud of me”

  • Elementary School: Marvin Camras Elementary School

    Neighborhood: Cragin

    “There are also clubs at Holy Trinity that I would love to join if I am part of this incredible community. The robotics club is one of these clubs, since I have grown interested in all sorts of technology. I also attended the open house and was fascinated by the different kinds of robots they had on display there, and it made me want to be able to do something like that.”

    “I want to go to a good high school where I would fit in and where I would be able to get support when I need it. where they would encourage me to work hard and I can graduate and go to College”

  • Elementary School: Our Lady of Grace School

    Neighborhood: Hermosa

    “Making connections with others is very important when it comes to high school. Having a mentor could help me elevate my social skills in the classroom. I can gain confidence by talking to a group of people which increases my social skills. Presenting projects can be easier without being nervous having stutters and being worried about what other people think. “
